Imagine something for me, if you will.

You're going down your F-list, and you spot a new fic in one of the communities you watch. A new fic for a fandom that has a reputation for somewhat bad writing. But the new fic is by an author you've read and enjoyed in the past.

So, you read that new fic. And it seems very familiar. Familiar to the point that you know you've written it, before. But, it could just be a coincidence, as the character has had a history in the canon source material as acting like he is in the fic.

But then the fic goes further than what you wrote, and actually starts going into territory of a fic someone else wrote, and then quotes directly from a third fic.

I don't think that I'm just being a bit self-important, in this. I honestly feel like my ideas were stolen, as were a very good friend of mines'. I mean, it's a fairly odd fetish, so it's not written very often, which should mean that there are more ways to write it than the whole two of them that have been posted.

To the community where this one was posted, no less.

Should I call them out on it? I mean, I don't want to sound like a prick in this, but I don't like getting ripped off, either. I've had people run with my ideas in the past, but they contacted me about it, and I was fine. But this one just showed up, and mentioned something else entirely as the inspiration.

Hitchhiking - FYI

So, for those who following Hitchhiking, it is being put on a temporary suspension whilst I do some research on canon. Some of you may have even noticed that there's be an added tag to the story; adding Doctor Who to the list of fandoms.

Here's why - spoilers for everything

Y'all are just taking the piss

Clearly. Everyone's bitching about this thing called "FairExposure," and I can't find any proof that it exists, except for one journal that says that there are issues with the Fav system, so they're going to implement something that does absolutely nothing to address the issues with the fav system.

I'M STARTING TO THINK IT'S NOT REALLY THERE, AND EVERYONE'S JUST RANTING ABOUT NOTHING!

I swear to christ. I haven't seen a single damn change to the "popular" section on the site. No one seems to know how it works, or how to implement it, or even what exactly it's supposed to do.

And yet, somehow, everyone hates it.

Someone please post a news article formerly explaining this bastard, or just admit to taking the piss about it!
